| "Evolutions" Concert Series |

| Washington Musica Viva and John Kamman present Evolutions, a three concert series bringing American chamber music and jazz together. The series features performances by Washington Musica Viva, the Afro Jazz Explosion as well as new works by John Kamman, including a major chamber jazz piece in three movements. January 24, March 20 and May 8. |

See below for a partial explanation. Both John and Armand are taking some time off to focus on bringing a number of projects to closure. Armand his first US CD, and John a number of compositions, including those for the "Evolutions" series and the next work for Jane Franklin Dance. As these projects near comletion, the performances will pick up again. |

Armand Ntep, new CD coming.
Armand plans for final mix-down on his soon to be released US debut recording on January 25. This a wonderful fusion of African styles drivin by Armand's heart. Stay tuned for more information on final release date. |

John Kamman, new CD on the way.
John Kamman and Jane Franklin are making plans to release a CD of the works John has created to date for the company. With the completion of a vocal piece in March, the material for the CD will be complete. While the pieces cover a fair range in styles and instruments, from banjo to bansuri, the music works extremely well as a whole, with a sense of exploring a number of similar concepts from very different angles. |
